2022 Annual Awards Nomination Criteria
The Frisco Chamber of Commerce is excited to recognize the outstanding businesses, organizations, and citizens at its Annual Awards Gala this year. The gala, presented by Texas Health Frisco, is attended by over 600 of Frisco’s most influential business and community leaders. Nominations for awards are accepted and reviewed by a cross-section of Frisco business professionals, that make up the review committee.
Nominate yourself, or another business, organization, or individual for the 2022 Business Awards. Nominate in as many categories as you see fit.
All business awards will be given out at the Annual Awards Gala on February 4, 2021.
Business of the Year
Small Business of the Year (1-15 employees)
Medium Business of the Year (16-70 employees)
Large Business of the Year (71+ employees)
Nominee must meet the following characteristics:
- Be a member in good standing with the Frisco Chamber of Commerce
- Partner with the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and demonstrate involvement in the Frisco community
- Exhibit economic support of the Frisco business community
- Provide innovative products or services
- Provide excellent customer service
Development of the Year
Nominee must meet the following characteristics:
- Be a member in good standing with the Frisco Chamber of Commerce
- A new or existing development or partnership that contributes or has contributed greatly to the betterment of Frisco and/or the attraction of new businesses, residents, visitors to the city of Frisco.
Entrepreneur of the Year
Nominee must meet the following characteristics:
- Be a member in good standing with the Frisco Chamber of Commerce
- Partner with the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and demonstrate involvement in the Frisco community
- Demonstrate leadership and creativity
- Represent innovative ideas
- Demonstrate personal and financial commitment
Employer of the Year
Nominee must:
- Be a member in good standing with the Frisco Chamber of Commerce
- Partner with the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and demonstrate involvement in the Frisco community
- Build a positive, fair, and supportive environment for all employees
- Exceed employment standards and safety policies
- Model integrity and excellent communication skills
Non-Profit of the Year
Nominee must:
- Be a member in good standing with the Frisco Chamber of Commerce
- Be a 501 (c) organization
- Demonstrate outstanding contributions to the community
- Show benefits of service and how they set the organization apart
- Provide quantitative results of the initiative
- Spend at least 75% of the budget on program expenses
Volunteer of the Year
Nominee must:
- Be a member in good standing with the Frisco Chamber of Commerce
- Be an individual whose volunteer activities benefit the Chamber and the community in a significant, positive, or unique way
- Volunteer activity must have occurred during the past year
Emerging Leader of the Year
Nominee must:
- Demonstrates outstanding and innovative leadership skills and has a proven track record of strong leadership.
- Has made significant contributions to the community.
- Must be a member in good standing.
Arts Contributor of the Year
- An organization that demonstrates a passion for the arts in Frisco.
- Has made significant contributions to the arts community and community as a whole.
- Must be a member in good standing.
Sports Contributor of the Year
- An organization that demonstrates a passion for sports in Frisco.
- Has made significant contributions to the sports community and community as a whole.
- Must be a member in good standing.
