Frisco’s Future: A Deep Dive into the 2025 Development Summit

Frisco's Transformation

Frisco isn’t just growing—it’s transforming. At this year’s Frisco Chamber of Commerce Development Summit, the energy was unmistakable as local leaders and developers unveiled the ambitious projects that will shape our city’s next chapter. Christal Howard, President/CEO of the Frisco Chamber, welcomed the almost 300 attendees to what is now an annual event.

“We get asked frequently to give a similar presentation to different groups. And finally, it was a light bulb moment,” Howard shared. “What if these groups don’t have to hear from us, and instead, we can bring the developers straight to you. So that is how this event was born and has grown.”

The Economic Landscape: Resilience in Uncertain Times

Jason Ford, President of the Frisco Economic Development Corporation (EDC), painted a nuanced picture of our economic environment. Despite national uncertainties, Frisco stands as a beacon of opportunity. With over 70 corporate relocation project wins representing 10,000 jobs and $2 million in capital investments, our city continues to defy economic headwinds.

Frisco remains an attractive location for businesses, even during challenging economic times.

“Even if many companies pause or slow down their investment activity, companies still need a place to park their people, park their products, their property, their real estate portfolios, their portfolios of companies, and their capital,” Ford said. “And they’re going to be looking for safe places to do that, and there’s no safer place to do that than in the United States, than in Texas.”

Panel Discussion

In addition to the Frisco EDC’s presentation, three current developments were highlighted as part of a panel discussion, including The Mix (formerly Wade Park), HALL Park, and Universal Kids Resort.

Transformational Projects: More Than Just Buildings

Transformational Projects: More Than Just Buildings

HALL Park

HALL Park: A Reimagined Urban Experience

What was once a traditional office park is now a dynamic, multi-use destination.

The new development includes:

  • A 16-story, 370,000 square foot Class A office tower
  • 224-unit residential complex
  • Kaleidoscope Park, a 5.7-acre urban green space
  • HALL Park Hotel

The Mix: Urban Living Redefined

This 112-acre master-planned community will feature:

  • 2 million square feet of Class A office space
  • 275,000 square feet of retail planned
  • 3,300 residential units
  • Two hotels
  • 16 acres of open space
The Mix Rendering

The Mix, which was formerly Wade Park, is best known for the “hole on the toll.” It was a long-standing, unfinished development that had been sitting empty for years, creating a large hole in the ground near the tollway. Various rumors about what the hole could be used for included an orca tank or a shooting range. Now, it will become a strategic part of The Mix’s innovative urban design, allowing for a more walkable streetscape by tucking parking underground, and will become the largest underground parking garage in Texas!

Looking Ahead: The Next Frontier

The summit made one thing clear: Frisco’s best days are still ahead. With continued investment in infrastructure, technology, and community amenities, we’re not just building buildings—we’re creating experiences. Upcoming Opportunities:

  • Continued office and mixed-use development
  • Expansion of hospitality and entertainment sectors
  • Potential for more corporate relocations

A Community in Motion

The 2025 Development Summit wasn’t just an event—it was a testament to Frisco’s potential. As these projects take shape, we’re witnessing the creation of a truly unique urban environment. Stay tuned, Frisco. Our story is just beginning.

At the conclusion of the Development Summit, Howard mentioned an upcoming opportunity that was another must-attend event. The upcoming Procurement Pathways event, which is part of a series, will feature Universal Kids Resort’s procurement team, who will be flying in to meet with local businesses at this event.
