WELCOME TO RECEIPT RACE SUMMER EDITION! The Frisco Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate in the Receipt Race and help local businesses during construction.
Thank you to all of the fantastic PTA/PTSA organizations who participated in the Rail District Receipt Race. The merchants in the Rail District genuinely appreciate your support!
We are excited to award the prize money to the winning organizations, so we want to be sure that you meet the deadlines and criteria.
January 15, 2025*: is the deadline we suggested to have qualifying receipts turned into your PTA. We suggest adding the final call for collected receipts to your PTAs social media account and school emails. As a reminder, these receipts are from any Rail District business and for any dollar amount and must be dated between September 12, 2024, and December 31, 2024.
*This date was set to allow you time to audit and count the receipts, but as long as they are turned into the Frisco Chamber no later than 4:00 PM on January 22, 2025, you can determine an alternate date.)
Important: Your PTA will audit and stack your receipts with the total number of receipts written on a coversheet on top (please clip with a binder clip). Please provide the PTA name and contact information along with the total count.
January 22, 2025: is the last day for PTAs to bring the stacked receipts to the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, located at 6843 Main Street in historic downtown Frisco. Parking and entrance are at the rear of the building. We do not recommend mailing receipts as we cannot accept any after the deadline. The Frisco Chamber is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
A team of volunteers will recount and audit stacked receipts, and winners will be announced.
As a reminder, for the PTAs that turn in the highest number of qualifying receipts, the grand prize is $5,000, second place is $3,000, and we’ll award three runner-up prizes of $1,000 each. Checks will be written to the PTAs 501(c)(3) organization only. Proper documentation will be required.
Once again, thank you for supporting our Rail District businesses. And while the receipt race may be finished, we know they’ll appreciate your continued support.
Please park in the back parking lot (off of Elm St.) and enter through the back entrance when dropping off receipts. (See the picture below.)
With the construction on Main St, if you are traveling from the south, the use of Parkwood will help you avoid construction traffic. If you are traveling from the north, North County Rd is a good route to take south, cross over Main Street, and then utilize Elm Street, heading west to the Frisco Chamber.
Together, we can support our community while raising funds for our schools. Let’s make this a win-win for everyone!
