Lion's Heart Teen and Leaders

Mission Statement

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit with a large chapter in Frisco, TX, and our teen members regularly volunteer at many of the nonprofits in Frisco! At Lion’s Heart, we inspire our members to give back to their communities in meaningful ways, supporting causes they are passionate about. In doing so, they cultivate empathy, social awareness, and strong leadership skills. Our vision is to empower these teens to step outside their comfort zones, view their communities with compassion, and grow into future leaders committed to positive social change, equity, and inclusion.

About Us

We are a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting 6th–12th-grade students with local volunteer opportunities at nonprofits near them, helping them develop empathy, compassion, and a strong, shareable community service transcript. Teens can track their volunteer hours, earn leadership awards, and export their service portfolio for scholarship, college, and career applications.

With nearly 5,000 members nationwide and over 250 members in Frisco and growing rapidly, Lion’s Heart has a strong foothold in the community. As a certifying organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award and the Congressional Award, we recognize and celebrate our youths’ contributions to their communities.

“Think of others before yourself” is at the heart of Lion’s Heart’s philosophy. Across the nation, our dedicated teens have contributed over 2.3 million hours to community service, making a meaningful impact in diverse areas. In Frisco alone, Lion’s Heart teens have served over 33,000 community service hours supporting Frisco’s nonprofits! From assembling hygiene kits for families in need and organizing donation drives for animal shelters to creating joyful experiences for children in hospitals, mentoring special education students, preserving protected environments, and supporting food banks and soup kitchens, their generosity knows no bounds. They’ve also shown appreciation for frontline workers by baking treats and expressing gratitude.

What sets our program apart is its freedom—members choose where to volunteer from a continually updated calendar filled with age-appropriate, vetted opportunities, allowing them to engage in causes that matter most to them.
