Applications are now being accepted for Leadership Frisco Class XXIV. The deadline to apply is 5:00 PM on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. This program will run September 2020 through May 2021.
Leadership Frisco is a highly selective program of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce Foundation. This nine-month community leadership development program is for the purpose of developing a pool of qualified, exceptionally motivated individuals who are interested in expanding their leadership skills, deepening their sense of civic responsibility, and becoming more involved in their community as a whole.
If you are an employer wondering whether it is worth supporting an employee who wants to participate in the program or if you are a business owner who is wondering whether it is worth diverting time from your business to participate in the program, the answer is an unequivocal “Yes!” Graduates routinely use the skills developed in the Leadership Frisco program to further career development and community involvement. The benefits of the Leadership Frisco program are wide-ranging. The past 23 classes make up many of our elected officials, board and commission members, non-profit board members, company leaders, and community volunteers.
Class members work in groups to complete a community service project. This requires everyone to practice project management skills, learn traits of effective teamwork, assess their individual strengths and weaknesses, and use organizational and problem-solving skills.
