Frisco Chamber Welcomes Over 600 Teachers

(Frisco, TX) The Frisco Chamber of Commerce will welcome over 600 new Frisco Independent School District teachers and staff in two sessions at the New Teacher Welcome on Thursday, July 29, 2021, from 8:30 AM to Noon. The New Teacher Welcome, presented by CoServ, will be held at Reedy High School, 3003 Stonebrook Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75036. This event allows the business community to celebrate and welcome Frisco ISD’s newest teachers. The event is not open to the public.

“CoServ is proud to once again join the Frisco Chamber in sponsoring the New Teacher Welcome for Frisco ISD. We believe in making a difference in the communities we serve and few epitomize that same mindset like teachers and school support staff,” said Mario Zavala, Manager of Communications and Brand Engagement for CoServ. “It’s been a trying past 18 months and we want Frisco ISD’s new teachers and staff that we’re thankful they’re here and plan on supporting them every step of the way this school year.”

The theme of this year’s New Teacher Welcome is “Teachers are our Superheroes!” New teachers and staff will have the opportunity to visit over 40 vendor tables and receive door prizes and gift bag items donated by local businesses. In addition, the new teachers and staff will hear from Tony Felker, President/CEO of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce; Dr. Mike Waldrip, Superintendent, Frisco ISD; Vicki Sargent, CoServ; Allison Miller, Frisco Education Foundation; and the City of Frisco’s Mayor, Jeff Cheney.

“Frisco is known for its quality education system as well as strong community partnerships. These two attributes are very important in attracting companies and their employees to the area,” said Tony Felker, President/CEO of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. “Our business community understands the value of Frisco ISD and also the important role that the teachers and staff play in developing a future-ready workforce.”
