Frisco Chamber Ambassadors
The Frisco Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are the face of the Frisco Chamber, serving in a volunteer capacity. Ambassadors give of their time at either the weekly Chamber Works networking or Ribbon Cutting ceremonies or both.
We’re proud to introduce you to Paul Fisher!
Meet Paul, Our Ribbon Cutting Ambassador of the Month for December
Paul is a loan officer/loan originator for Assurance Financial Mortgage.
Paul explains it best, “I am multi-state licensed to do business in about 46 of the 50 states. I meet with all sorts of people as clients. First time home buyers, people who want a 2nd home or a vacation home, rental & investment property clients; or people who already have a home but may need to upsize or downsize based on their family needs. My job is to listen to their story and what stage of life they are in to find the right financing program to help with their home ownership goals.”
And for those with big dreams, “I can also help facilitate Fix & Flip financing for people who want to be the next Chip & Joanna Gaines!”
Tell Us A Little About the Business You Work For
Assurance is a direct lending/ mortgage banker. Which basically means that all of our operations are in house and nothing is outsourced. The departments of processing, underwriting, closing, and the funding of our loans are all done by Assurance employees.
We are headquartered in Baton Rouge Louisiana, but I am part of the Texas Regional Branch. The Texas Regional Branch happens to be located in Mansfield; but of course, I live here in North Texas!
Assurance Mortgage finances residential and investment property lending. We have the standard agency loans like FHA, VA, Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, & Rural Loans. But we also have the unique loan programs like Bank Statement Loans, Asset Qualifier Loans where you can qualify based on your investment portfolio rather than straight income. We also have investment property financing that does not require W2’s or tax returns to qualify. We are also one of the few mortgage lenders that offer our in-house Bridge Loans, where you can buy your next house before you sell your current home.
Tell Us Something About Yourself
I was in the hospitality industry for 27 years, before I retired out and joined my wife in the mortgage business 4 years ago in 2021. My last position was as the Executive Chef / Director of F&B for Dallas National Golf Club from 2006 to 2021.
I have a business finance degree from Baylor University and a Culinary Degree from Johnson & Wales University.
My hobbies include traveling, golf, and live music. We travel to Nashville often for the live music scene.
What Do You Like Most About Being a Frisco Chamber Ambassador?
In my past career, I never had the opportunity to give back to the community. We have a dedicated group of Ambassadors, and I am honored to be a part of that team. Especially when we welcome new businesses and show them our support during their ribbon cuttings and grand openings.
We are so grateful for Paul’s contribution to the Frisco Chamber of Commerce!
