The Frisco Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are the face of the Frisco Chamber, serving in a volunteer capacity. Ambassadors give of their time at either the weekly Chamber Works networking or Ribbon Cutting ceremonies or both.

Meet Kristen, Our Ribbon Cutting Ambassador of the Month for October
Kristen is the co-owner of NorthStar Commercial Interiors, a commercial general contractor serving Collin and Denton County. NorthStar specializes in helping small business owners and medical practitioners through the commercial construction processes, including shell space finish-outs, remodels, renovations, and disaster recovery.
Tell Us Something About Yourself
As a co-owner, my role consists of marketing, video production, and accounting. At the same time, I can paint, use power tools and clean up construction sites when the need arises.
I’m married to Jeff Hurst (we own NorthStar together) and we just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in August. We have 2 daughters, Elizabeth (24) and Jordan (21) and 1 son, Michael (19). This season of life with 3 adult children, who are thriving, has been amazing.
For my mental and physical health, I love to run and have completed a marathon and multiple half marathons. Cooking is another hobby. You could say I run to eat! What gives me the greatest joy is serving others. From serving with preschoolers to high schoolers at church to volunteering at our kids’ school to taking a meal to someone, giving a hug or just a listening ear. This is what I find so meaningful in life.
What Do You Like Most About Being a Frisco Chamber Ambassador?
I love the people I get to meet and spending time with the other phenomenal ambassadors! It’s been a pleasure to be both a Ribbon Cutting and Chamber Works Ambassador. Through the ambassador program, I have enjoyed connecting with other business owners; hearing their stories and truly desiring their success. The ribbon cuttings are a blast, and I love getting to know what’s new around Frisco and celebrating these momentous occasions.
