Nonprofit Directory / Nonprofit Profile
The mission of Habitat 4 Paws is to rescue and find permanent homes for dogs and cats while caring for them in a foster program with rescue-based partners.
Habitat 4 Paws was founded and received 501c3 status in December of 2010. During 2011, we began fundraising for our medical care fund and launched Paws Pantry, a pet food bank to help other shelters, rescue groups and individuals in need of food for pets. In the spring of 2012, we launched the foster program with a handful of fosters and began rescuing pets from local animal control facilities. Each year, we place hundreds of rescued animals into loving homes and have grown to help thousands of cats and dogs find families across North Texas.
