Doing Business with the Public Sector
Frisco continues to create opportunities not just through growth, but through connection, and Procurement Pathways is at the center of that effort.
At our recent Doing Business with the Public Sector event, the Frisco Chamber brought together local businesses and procurement leaders from the City of Frisco, Frisco ISD, and Equalis Group to provide direct insight into how to access public sector opportunities.
This session built on the momentum of the Procurement Pathways series, which is designed to connect small and mid-sized businesses directly with decision-makers and open doors that can often feel difficult to navigate.
Demystifying the Procurement Process
For many businesses, the public sector can feel complex and difficult to break into. This event was designed to simplify that process.
Panelists walked attendees through:
- How procurement decisions are made
- Where to find opportunities
- How to position their business for success
- Common mistakes to avoid
More importantly, they provided clarity. Instead of guessing where to start, attendees left with a better understanding of how to engage with public sector entities and where their services might fit.
From Information to Access
What makes Procurement Pathways different is that it goes beyond information; it creates access.
Rather than a one-way presentation, the event encouraged dialogue, questions, and real-time interaction. Businesses had the opportunity to hear directly from procurement leaders and gain insights that are rarely accessible in a traditional setting.
This level of access is critical. It helps level the playing field and ensures that local businesses, regardless of size, have a clearer path to participate in public sector opportunities.
Building Stronger Local Connections
The public sector plays a vital role in Frisco’s economy, and strengthening connections between local businesses and these entities benefits the entire community.
Through conversations like these, businesses are better positioned to:
- Compete for contracts
- Build relationships
- Grow alongside the community
At the same time, public sector partners gain access to a strong, diverse pool of local vendors who understand the needs of Frisco.
Creating Opportunity Through Connection
Procurement Pathways is rooted in a simple idea: when access is intentional, opportunity expands.
By convening businesses and decision-makers, the Frisco Chamber is helping ensure that growth in Frisco is shared and that local businesses are positioned to be part of what’s next.
As the series continues, we look forward to creating even more opportunities for connection, collaboration, and long-term impact across our business community.
