Pickleball Palooza!
Leadership Frisco Class XXVII is thrilled to announce “Pickleball Palooza,” a one-day, family-friendly fundraising event set to take place on April 20, 2024, from 10;00 AM to 4:00 PM at Lifetime Fitness Frisco.
Pickleball Palooza is an initiative by Leadership Frisco, a nine-month community leadership program sponsored by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. The event, the class project of Leadership Frisco Class 27 aims to raise funds for the Frisco Chamber Foundation, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, complementing the work of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce by fostering community strength through partnerships, programs, and education.
“Leadership Frisco Class 27 is proud to present Pickleball Palooza as an effort to support the Foundation for our class project this year,” said Jason Ford, class member and President of the Frisco Economic Development Corporation. “This event embodies our class’s commitment to enhancing leadership skills while making a meaningful contribution to the Frisco community.”
Pickleball Palooza will feature a thrilling format where registered players will compete in single-elimination pickleball matches in teams of doubles at Lifetime Fitness Frisco. Each wave can accommodate up to 12 teams with 48 players. Registration is $75 per player and includes tournament entry, a tournament t-shirt and swag bag, and lunch. Players can register online via the tournament website.
In addition to pickleball, the event will feature a variety of family-friendly activities, including:
- Food and beverages provided by Lifetime Fitness Cafe
- Bounce house for kids
- Free pickleball coaching clinics to learn the basics
- An open play area
- Silent Auction
- Free giveaways by event sponsors and local businesses
“We’re truly honored to curate such an amazing day filled with fun activities for the whole family, all in support of a great cause,” said Jason Blair, a member of Leadership Frisco Class 27. “We’ve put a lot of time and dedication into it, and P,ickleball Palooza promises to be an event that brings the community together while making a positive impact for so many.”
The event is not affiliated with the USAP, APA, or PPA Tour.
