Frisco Chamber Advances Strategic Priorities at North Texas Commission DC Fly-In

The Frisco Chamber of Commerce recently participated in the North Texas Commission (NTC) DC Fly-In, joining regional business and civic leaders in Washington, D.C. to advocate for policies that support continued economic growth, innovation, and quality of life in our community. This annual event not only strengthens relationships with federal leaders but also reinforces the Frisco Chamber’s commitment to our strategic pillars and legislative priorities.

Advocacy Aligned with Strategic Pillars

The Fly-In directly reflects the Frisco Chamber’s strategic focus areas, ensuring that our work in Washington aligns with the needs of our members and the long-term vision for our business community.

Our strategic plan is built on four pillars that guide how we strengthen our workforce, support businesses, and elevate our community. Through our advocacy efforts, we’re bringing those priorities to life by championing pro-business policies, investing in talent, and positioning Frisco as a strong, unified voice on a national stage.

Advancing Frisco’s Legislative Priorities

The Fly-In agenda closely aligned with the Frisco Chamber’s Legislative Priorities, creating opportunities to advocate for issues that matter most to our business community.
For example, meetings with members of Congress and their staff provided a platform to discuss:

  • Workforce & Education: Increased funding for education, workforce development programs, and skills training critical to sustaining Frisco’s talent pipeline.
  • Transportation & Infrastructure: Coordinated infrastructure planning, mobility improvements, and long-term investments in water and energy reliability.
  • Quality of Life & Business Climate: A low-regulatory business environment, access to affordable healthcare benefits for employers, and tools that drive economic development and job creation.

Additionally, our participation in the U.S. Chamber briefing on artificial intelligence underscored the importance of forward-looking policies that support innovation while ensuring responsible implementation. This discussion tied directly to our focus on fostering a competitive business ecosystem and preparing the workforce for emerging industries.

Strengthening Relationships with Federal Leaders

A key highlight of the Fly-In was the opportunity to meet with members of the North Texas congressional delegation. These conversations allowed the Frisco Chamber to share insights on how federal policies impact local businesses and to advocate for solutions that support continued economic growth.

Engagement with our members of Congress remains critical. As Frisco continues to expand, ensuring that federal decision-makers understand the unique needs of our region helps position our community for long-term success.

Regional Collaboration Driving Greater Impact

Additionally, the Fly-In reinforced the power of regional collaboration. By joining our peers from across North Texas, the Frisco Chamber amplified shared priorities, including infrastructure investment, pro-business tax policies, and workforce readiness.
This collaborative approach strengthens advocacy efforts and ensures that Frisco remains competitive on a national scale.
