Continuity of Operations Workshop for Small Business – Zoom Link Updated on March 1, 2021.
On March 3, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, Texas A&M Hazard Reduction and Recovery Center will discuss continuity of operations and creating a COOP plan. Every organization needs a business continuity plan to protect its critical operations, resources and services in the event of unexpected disasters and business disruptions. At the time of a disaster everyone in the organization relies on the business continuity plan to ensure continuity of business and to restore normal operating conditions. This 1.5 hour workshop provides the guidance and tools for individuals, small businesses, and the private sector, with no previous experience in COOP planning, to be able to start building their COOP plan.
This workshop will:
• Describe the importance of planning for continuity of operations
• Define the key aspects of continuity
• Identify and prioritize essential services
• Identify critical elements of a business plan
