The Frisco Chamber of Commerce has set a deadline of 5 p.m. Friday for applicants to the Young Entrepreneurs Academy — an educational program within the chamber that teaches students through the process of starting and running real businesses.
The chamber was the first in Texas to offer the academy, which was first launched at the University of Rochester in 2004.
YEA! gives students the opportunity to work in close cooperation with Frisco business leaders, community members and educators to develop ideas and objectives, write business plans, present pitches to potential investors, register with governmental agencies, develop their brand identity and participate in a trade show, according to the chamber.
