Frisco Chamber of Commerce Committee Presents 2019 Municipal Candidate Forum
(Frisco, TX) The Frisco Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Frisco ISD Council of PTAs, is pleased to announce the 2019 Municipal Candidate Forum for the May 4th General Election. The forum will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, hosted by Grace Church, located in Frisco Square at 8440 Grace Street in Frisco. This free event is non-partisan and open to the public.
All of the candidates running for the Collin College Board of Trustees, the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees, and Frisco City Council have been invited to participate in the Municipal Candidate Forum, which will be moderated by Tony Felker and Valerie Wigglesworth, Managing Editor of Community Impact Newspaper.
Realizing that educating voters benefits the entire community, the Frisco Chamber of Commerce hosts candidate forums prior to each municipal election to provide a platform for business leaders and citizens to hear from the candidates and the issues they support.
“Local elections are so important to our community,” said Tony Felker, President and CEO of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. “Issues at the local level of government greatly impact our citizens and business leaders on a daily basis, from public safety to infrastructure to parks and libraries. In addition, decisions made by the Board of Trustees for both Frisco ISD and Collin College directly impact our future workforce.”
