Procurement Pathways: Universal Kids Resort

Creating Opportunity Through Local Partnerships

Frisco is preparing for an epic new adventure—Universal Kids Resort, set to open in 2026. But long before the first families arrive, Universal is already building meaningful connections within the local business community.

On June 25, 2025, the Frisco Chamber of Commerce hosted Procurement Pathways, a dynamic event that brought together Universal’s procurement and operations teams with more than 220 local business owners and leaders. The event offered a unique opportunity to explore vendor and supplier partnerships with the highly anticipated resort.

Fostering Long-Term Relationships

Universal executives shared insights into their procurement process and emphasized their commitment to partnering with local businesses across a wide range of categories—from food and beverage to maintenance, logistics, and more. They also stressed their desire to foster long-term relationships that contribute to the economic growth and vibrancy of the Frisco community.

Rather than a one-way presentation, the event encouraged dialogue and collaboration. Universal’s team made it clear: they’re not just building a resort—they’re building a network of local partners who will help bring the Universal Kids Resort experience to life.

As Frisco continues to grow, events like Procurement Pathways highlight how major developments can create real opportunities for local businesses. The Frisco Chamber is proud to facilitate these important connections and champion economic development in action.
