Mayor Cheney Unveils 100 Day Plan, Including Nine Priority Areas
Frisco Chamber of Commerce business owners, leaders, and area residents joined new Mayor Jeff Cheney at the Frisco Chamber of Commerce’s annual State of the City Luncheon on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Over 630 attendees listened as Mayor Cheney unveiled his 100 Day Plan outlining nine priority areas. Mayor Cheney also announced a video series dubbed “100 Days of Progress in Motion” which includes a new video topic every day for 100 consecutive days, as well as announcing a City Council subcommittee established to formulate a strategy for bringing a performing arts center to Frisco.

Business Behind Sports 2017
The Frisco Chamber of Commerce hosted Business Behind Sports, presented by Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Frisco, on September 14, 2017. The panel discussion, moderated by Joe Trahan, weekend anchor and sports reporter for WFAA, included Jim Hinton, CEO of Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest not-for-profit health system in Texas; Jerry Jones, Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of the Dallas Cowboys; Donnie Nelson, Co-owner of the Texas Legends and President of Basketball Operations and General Manager of the Dallas Mavericks; and Jimmy Smith, COO/CFO of FCD Holdings, which operates FC Dallas, Toyota Stadium, and Toyota Soccer Center, and National Soccer Hall of Fame Experience. Legislative Luncheon 2017
The Frisco Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Legislative Luncheon, presented by Medical City Frisco, on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. NBC 5 Political Reporter, Julie Fine, moderated the discussion. Panelists included Texas State Representatives, Rep. Justin Holland – District 33 and Rep. Matt Shaheen – District 66. The panel also included Mayor Jeff Cheney, City of Frisco, John Classe, President of Frisco ISD Board of Trustees, and Chris Wallace, President of Texas Association of Business based in Austin.
In June 2017, the Texas Legislature wrapped up its 85th Session after a tense 140 days with many issues left unresolved. Expect the panelists at this Legislative Luncheon to be asked questions and probed beyond the typical political soundbites on the issues that matter the most to Frisco and to the business community. Leading CEO’s on the local and national business scene shared success stories, challenges, and their journey to the top spot in their company at the CEO Power Panel Luncheon on April 4, 2017. The CEO Power Panel Discussion, presented by PlainsCapital and Scheef & Stone, LLP, was moderated by David Johnson, Business Analyst from KRLD 1080AM. The panel included Barbara Fasola, CEO of Careington International Corporation; Craig Hall, CEO and Founder of HALL Group; and Dee Lincoln, Founder of Dee Lincoln PRIME.
