Nonprofit Directory / Nonprofit Profile
Our mission begins with identifying the factors which lead to the most unfortunate of circumstances. Next we offer our services to those groups who are most vulnerable yet also willing to reach out for and accept assistance. Our prevention model is also based on educating both the community and the individual. Through personal experience, we have seen this lead to a greater understanding of one’s purpose which then creates an overwhelming desire for change through action. Our ultimate goal is for all affected groups to achieve both positive and sustainable results.
Breaking Free has dedicated over 20 years to examining, discussing, and then taking action on the concerns in our communities which lead to crises.
On a daily basis, Scott and a team of volunteers seek out those who are struggling with hunger, addiction, mental illness, and homelessness with the sole purpose of providing them with short-term aid and access to long-term services. On a weekly basis, we conduct food distribution with the support of local grocers and volunteers from a variety of faith based organizations. With these combined efforts we bring a growing, and often neglected, population a message of caring, hope, and love.
Community care outreach, children/youth services, Costa Rica mission, Church without walls, drug/alcohol and incarceration services, and servant leadership training.
